Nominator: Jeff A

Born in Russia, I am now living the dream of living in New York City for almost 10 years now with no plans on ever leaving. I have been buying crypto since 2017 and only recently fell in love with NFTs. When I am not at my sales job or playing hockey, I am constantly looking at new projects to invest in.

Nominee: Zach K

Zach has been a lifelong friend and the one I can credit with getting me into NFTs. I got him into crypto years ago so it balanced out nicely. He lives and breathes New York, having grown up on the Island and has been living in New York nearly his entire life. I have never seen someone work harder for their goals. After starting out at big finance firms, he completely pivoted his career by teaching himself programming and now has a data science job at a big ad agency. He is a huge collector in the space owning big blue-chip projects like Cool Cats, Gutter Cats and Art Blocks. Unfortunately, he hasn’t made much money in NFTs because he basically refuses to ever sell anything lol. When he first learned of the CNY, his eyes lit up and was dying to be part of it all. He would be a huge asset to the CNY community bringing enthusiasm, passion and the most diamond hands I have ever seen. Not to mention a big and growing social media presence.

Proud member from Venice with dual citizenship (CV #466, CNY #439)! Founding member, Good Work House.

Nominee: Nic N

Nic is a fine artist and web3 developer who lives two blocks from Budman Studio with his wife Elif, also an artist, and their baby boy.

Nic recently discovered our community through a @goodworkhouse Twitter space and has already taken over the Good Work House AIR program working this season with 12 Haitian artists.

Prior to Covid, Nic and Elif were living in Manhattan while Nic was working on his MFA at Hunter College. (Kind of fun that their journey is the reciprocal of Bright Moments!)

As fate would have it, Nic and Elif will conveniently be in NYC during December as Nic presents his thesis.

Both Nic and Elif will be incredible additions to the Bright Moments community.

Nominator: Elana | TradingFemale D

My name is Elana but most people know me as CryptoVenetian 101 or Tradingfemale. My first NFT was when I minted IRL at Brtmoments gallery in Venice on June 29th. I had heard of NFTs but could not comprehend the value that a JPEG could have. My life has been forever changed since I first stepped foot in the gallery. Web3 and NFTs has introduced me to a community that I never knew I needed but now... couldn't live without.

Nominee: Steven | TradingDad D

The TradingDad nomination is for all of the risk averse dads out there. The ones that want to understand Crypto / NFTs but also spend their afternoons watching Jim Cramer and putting their money in APPL, AMZN, and GOOGL. The dads who only switched jobs once, and thought that Tesla was the riskiest portfolio investment they could make.

This nomination is for my dad. Dad - you act like you understand the value of NFTs.. and I know you want to understand.. but the truth is you will only understand by doing. So dad... I hope the community wants you to have one, because I know I do.

Active crypto connoisseur who sees community as the biggest utility. Here for the art.

Nominee: Rohan K

Rohan is a New York native. I had the pleasure of meeting him in Marfa Texas for the Art blocks Marfa Texas event. Rohan passion for community and the generative art community was clear when I found out he didn't even own any curated art blocks drops. He flew out to the middle of nowhere for the art and community with the hope of just sharing in the experience. Rohan is not only a collector but creative as well who is knee deep in music and building teams in his professional life.

Nominator: Chop R

Originally from Venice, California. I build irl communities and help blend the metaverse with the physical world. Crypto is the future and I am doing my part to spread that message and onboard people.

Nominee: Tobrizzle

Tobrizzle has been an active supporter of the CryptoNewYorker movement from attending the IRL events and bringing his newborn son by to visit the Soho location. He has lived in Brooklyn for over a decade and works in public education. He believes in the importance of community. He's eager to bring new folks into the NFT space, especially through real-life experiences. Recently, his nominee for a CryptoNewYorker tied for 15th place and rather than push for himself to get one he supported the nominees who tied to get their tokens and therefore he did not get one. He's eager to support the CryptoCitizen movement IRL and online! Some of you may already know how active he is in the discord. This is someone that doesn't care about the monetary value and is already in our community. Now its time to make him a CryptoCitizen and give him equal rights and voting :).

Nominator: Jessie A

This community means more to me than I can express. It’s changed my life already. My husband is a BrightMoments employee & a true cheerleader. I love this group and I see them for their joy, their passion, their curiosity and their dedication. I spent a weekend volunteering at the RITUALS IRL mint & the quality of humanity that I saw come through was exceptional. I know that no matter what the future holds, I will continue to support them emotionally & physically. Can't wait for NY!

Nominee: Jacob A

Jake is one of my favorite people on the planet. He’s kind, funny, curious, an adapter & true lover of the arts. From what I have seen from the CryptoCitizen community he would not only fit in but would continue to add magic that this community exudes. He’s visited the gallery multiple times just to be a part of the energy. He’s a coder, so anything in the technology world he’s passionate about (and good at!) He’s the grandson of an artist so bringing art into the digital world is essentially his DNA. He sends me a curated playlist every week to introduce me to his favorite music, because for him it’s about introducing others to the things he loves that makes it enjoyable. The best thing about my brother though, is that he’s truly a kind & loyal person. Anything he is a part of he dedicates his heart and soul to & he will never give up. He would be there with this team for the ups & the downs with a smile and joke. He’d make you proud, the way he’s made me proud to be his sister.

Nominator: Joshua G

I'm Joshua Thomas Gray CV #474. I'm a visual story teller/ doc filmmaker. You can find me most Thursdays at 2pm hanging with the crew drinking coffee outside of bright moments Venice. After minting my CV I dropped everything and focused on learning and being a part of web3 and NFTs. Love this community, make sure to hit me up lets get coffee :D

Nominee: Ed B

Ed grew up with his brother in, “A small ass apartment in Bedstuy, NY”. NYC was the city meant for him, saying its arguably the only place with the best bodegas, and even through gentrification, it's still the most diverse city he knows. Ed just learned about BM and sees how it can change the lives of many POC. He is highly involved in NFT communities and a community builder at heart. He is someone we all would benefit from having in the family. Ed is an artist in the NFT space. He found the space is more than making money, it's about making community. He noticed that the space was lacking diversity. Few spaces had POC or people from marginalized communities speak. After experiencing racism in the space, he realized marginalized people will have difficulty receiving the information necessary to navigate safely and effectively, thus Ed help start a BIPOC LGBTQIA space held on Twitter to help. Ed acts as a bridge with other spaces in the NFT ecosystem, while still pursuing his NFT art.

Nominator: James D

Hello, I am relatively new to the NFT space and since joining I have worked to curate a collection of art on my NFT journey. Most of my burgeoning collection has come from Art Blocks pieces that really spoke to me. I never fancied myself as a collector of fine art, but the NFT space has allowed me to experience the world of art in a way I never thought possible, and for that I am grateful. For the first time I have found art that resonated with me, and a community that shares these passions.

Nominee: Aaron I

Aaron is a perfect fit for the Bright Moments community. He is someone who dedicates his time to fostering and developing our community. He prioritizes education and seeks to onboard as many people as possible in the amazing world of NFTs and art. Aaron was the first person to introduce me, and countless others, to the wonderful world of Art Blocks. His work goes beyond introductions though. To this day he seeks to educate newcomers, and veterans alike, and spreads his passion for this emerging world of generative art. In true New Yorker fashion, Aaron entered this space hoping to provide a better life for his family and two young children. In doing so, he developed a deep love for the art and has become an avid collector. Aaron dedicates so much of his time, energy and expertise to people like me, never asking for anything in return. It's time I return the favor and give back to the most deserving person I know, with a gift he would appreciate more than any other, a CryptoCitizen.

I don't remember how I found the CryptoCitizen community, but I remember how disheartened I was when the heist occured and my mint appointment was cancelled. I watched how the team and community reacted to the heist and knew I wanted to be a part of it so I purchased a CV. Recently I had the opportunity to mint a CNY and experience what makes minting a CryptoCitizen so special. Now I want to share that experience with my friend who I think fits in our community.

Nominee: Boyoung K

Boyoung is a transplant from Korea and Pennsylvania, who has lived in NYC for the past five years. Ever since she saw Beeple's first drop in Oct. 2020, she's been hooked on NFTs and has followed the space voraciously. Even so, she struggled to find a project that resonated with her - that was only until she learned about CryptoVenetians / Crypto New Yorkers. CNY was a project she could see herself in, stomping or Citi biking around her favorite city. It pulled her into NFTs to a whole new level. She would be ecstatic to have the opportunity to join the CryptoCitizen community. I know she would make a dedicated CryptoCitizen and a passionate evangelist for the community!

I wear a lot of black. Get the fuck out of my way. Stop staring at your phones and pay attention to where you're going, especially when you're crossing the street against a red light because I WILL run you over, but I'm also happy to give you directions if you ask. I walk all over this city and know every sketchy dumpling spot and all the good dive bars. Let’s talk pizza. Say hey (gm) on Discord; I’m @CoolCat. I’ll share my favorite slice shops and hit you with some good cat memes.

Nominee: Steve S

Steve’s a New Yorker. Everyone annoys him, and he’s not afraid to tell ‘em when they’re wrong. I first met Steve, aka Smerjipoo, virtually in the Tom Sachs NFT Discord. An art enthusiast who’s too busy researching new projects to remember to sleep. A transplant from meatspace-art-collecting to NFT-obsessed. He chases quality projects and is never in it for the quick buck. He’s deeply rooted in several NFT communities and never worries about the floor. Once he’s in a project, he’s a steward of its success giving 100% participation. If you don’t like him, he doesn’t care, but he's always challenging the status quo and encouraging discord community conversation. I’m impressed watching him learn and grow as he navigates this new crypto world.

My name is Ryan. I’m a PM for an autonomous vehicle company, and just have had the pleasure of moving back to NY from San Francisco. I currently reside in Williamsburg. My second day back, I was able to join the BM community and mint CNY169. I’ve loved watching the innovation and growth in the crypto space and am excited for what’s to come!

Nominee: Kathleen H

I’m nominating my mom, Kathleen. As a lifelong New Yorker, she embodies the qualities of this city - resilient, supportive, hard-working, and community-oriented. Growing up with 5 siblings in a 2 bedroom home with very little, she has always found a way to persevere. She worked her way to pay for college as a first generation student and now dedicates her time to helping children with autism. Recently, she has also been taking care of my dad and grandmother, so she hasn’t had much free time to herself.

As I’ve shared with her my journey into the NFT and crypto space, I’ve noticed how she lights up and engages when we talk about the community and its potential. It has given us something to bond over, and I love seeing how animated she gets when I tell her about everything new I’m learning. Amid all of her selflessness in taking care of others, winning a GTNY feels like an incredible opportunity for her to get involved and start her own journey into a space that has given me so much.

Nominee: Max M

Max has been a huge fan of NFT's and recently started his journey by purchasing a few Lost Poets. I had told Max about cryptovenetians literally 2 days prior to "the heist" when appointments and waitlist was CRAZY. He filmed a video (to this day i don't know what he said lol) begging to get off the waitlist just a few hours before all the remaining CV's were stolen. Max is the owner and creator of "Heavy Handed", an instagram-famous burger truck that has lines around all of LA. After telling him that i could nominate him he has decided to offer all "Cryptocitizens" a 20% off discount on his burger's if he gets a chance to mint a CNY. I currently live in LA and was fortunate enough to mint CV #142 after hearing Seth speak at CryptoMondaysLA. Since then I have stayed active with the community and recently minted CNY#87 at the New York City gallery. It’s been awesome connecting with so many folks across the country and globe both virtually and IRL and I look forward to meeting many more in the future cities to come!

Nominee: Lillian S

I am nominating Lillian as she is the most quintessential New Yorker and long time resident that I personally know. She is my girlfriend’s grandmother and opened her home to me while I stayed in NY working and exploring the city during the Bright Moments minting process and NFT.NYC. I was able to bring her to the gallery and she was fascinated by the space, the project, and the community. She has a deep passion for both New York and traditional art and I would love to onboard her into the world of NFTs.

Nominee: Ben C

Ben is the quintessential New Yorker. Passionate about his neighborhood (the upper east side), NYC food and drink, he is one of those people who’s favorite question is “where should I eat?” Or “what should I do in NYC?” Because it gives him a chance to do what he loves: talk about NYC and introduce people to new restaurant and experiences, all designed so they can feel the same love and excitement towards the city as he does. He can also be found at almost every Yankees as a season ticket holder and occasionally braving the cold to watch the Jets. A crypto new Yorker for Ben would be the ultimate way for this passionate New Yorker to have something else besides food, drink and experiences to talk with people about: NFTs!

Nominator: Daniel D

I am a New Yorker at heart, making sure I eat my $1 pizza and wear my timbs. I love how New York is a melting pot of cultures and there are always things to do, foods to eat, and experiences to enjoy.

Nominee: Anton D

Anton was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. His grandma, who he says was astounded by nyc, made sure to take him to every landmark, museum, and park she could. His family never owned a car (and I’m pretty sure they still don’t) so he could only get around by bike, bus, or train. And when the trains and busses weren’t running (aka most of the time), he would walk for miles through Brooklyn to get home. He was known in our friend group as Map God because he was just a natural at navigating New York. We went to hs in Manhattan, an hour and a half train ride each way from his house. We both became well accustomed to train delays and other MTA bs. In fact, Anton missed one of his AP exams because the D train was delayed for 30 minutes. By senior year, he would sleep on every train ride yet somehow always wake up right at his stop. Overall, I think Anton is as New Yorker as it gets. He loves the city and the culture and will forever identify with it.

Nominator: Norbert S

I am a 29-year-old New Yorker who loves all things crypto/NFTs. Like many in this community, the more I learn, the more I want to keep learning and help building. I think the Bright Moments CryptoCitizen projects are the most effective at building true communities in the entire NFT ecosystem, and I would love to be a part of that in any way I can.

Nominee: Jake C

Jake C is my good friend who had a part in introducing me to NFTs. I am nominating him as a “thank you” for that, and I decided to ask him what makes him a good candidate in his own words:

“Growing up, I always wanted to move to New York and find success. I moved to New York for my first job 7 years ago thinking I had my life planned out. But shortly after I arrived, I slid into an anxious cycle of constant worry of if I was cut out for this city and job I found myself in.

To release my anxiety, I started to write (ifofinterest.com) and paint, and through both of those mediums, I found crypto and NFTs. It was at this point that I regained a sense of belonging.

Bright Moments, NFTs and the overall crypto scene in New York feels like the chaos I used to avoid in my cookie-cutter life plan. Now, they are the exact reasons why I love this city. The culture and community of crypto reminds me of the things that made me feel like I belong in this city and become a New Yorker.”

Born and raised on Long Island, I've been crypto native since 2013 and am always looking for a way to get more involved with a community that I am aligned with on so many levels. That's what brought me here; bringing the red pill to one New Yorker at a time.

Nominee: Eric G

Oh man, where do I start? Eric is a dear friend that has always shown inquisitiveness towards paradigm shifts. Because of this, his thirst for NFT knowledge is unquenchable, matched only by his care for his fellow New Yorker community, where he finds himself often doing careless acts such as dog sitting for people in need and neighborhood watches during times of strife. His good nature would surely find a welcomed home in the bright moments community -- if eric can make it, wagmi.

Discovering web3, crypto, NFTs has become a place of solace for me. I'm a current college senior, living in NY, and for the past 4 years I've had to do a lot of soul-searching. During the pandemic, I came across Eth, after hearing about it for a while, and I've been hooked ever since.

I'm amazed by the work that's being done to build out the space and the deep sense community that there is. My current goal is to onboard as many people into it as possible--everyone should have exposure to this!

Nominee: Charles G

Charles is the total embodiment of a New Yorker--the style, the drive, not to mention he's a lifelong Knicks fan. Born and raised in Brooklyn, he and his brothers are the sons of immigrants from Barbados, who came here for opportunity.

Needless to say, Charles has made the most of that opportunity. He's a careered dentist, who is highly involved in the community. He is a mentor for "Collective Source Inc." and "Teens That Mean Business;" two programs that provide equitable chances for POC trying to get into business.

He's also a leader in "Citizens Against Recidivism" a program that assists the needs of family of the incarcerated, and "Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy" an African-centered multidisciplinary program.

On the weekends, you might catch him dining out at Buddakan or riding his bike through prospect park. He is a kind-hearted man, who's jovial, open-minded and cares deeply for others. There's not a better person for me to introduce this space to.

I am nominating her because she has the ambition to be an innovative pioneer in this space and has continued to bring optimism to the people around her. The way she carries herself emanates around others and has a natural tendency to attract positive energy even when she is struggling herself.

I am a New Yorker born and raised, who loves film, art, and NFTs. I've worked in a few different industries but have really found an obsession for the NFT space in the last few months. Filming comedy videos with my friends is also a huge passion of mine.

Nominee: Nicole M

Over the past few months my mother (AKA Nft_Mom) has gotten absolutely obsessed with NFTs thanks to me and my brother. She is constantly calling us asking about upcoming projects and ways that she can get involved in the space so I couldn't think of a person more deserving of a cryptoNewYorker. She is the epitome of a real New Yorker, working night in and night out while we were growing up to make sure we had food on the table and on top of that she has always been the most caring and loving person I've ever known. She has spent a majority of her life working and serving new york and her brother(my uncle) served in the NYPD working to protect our city until the sad day he lost his life while trying to prevent a robbery. Kevin has dedicated his life to working with young people, helping them to gain access to college, and supporting them to complete their degrees. He has impacted generations of New Yorkers – young people he never gave up on & helped achieve their dream. Kevin’s life has been about giving to others, and it would be such a joy to give back to him. Kevin is also a father, and is enormous fun! When he heard about crypto New Yorkers he immediately wanted in – he has been researching NFTs and would love to become involved. Please vote for Kevin and see his wonderful smile light up the gallery! He would be an amazing addition to the Bright Moments community.

Ethan is a deeply involved crypto community member, both personally and professionally. As CTO of Upshot, Ethan regularly demonstrates his passion for the space, deep technical understanding, and a whimsical semi-ironic-but-dead-serious ambition to solve complex problems. At MakerDAO and Cognizant he fell down the rabbit hole and has spent his career pushing blockchain ideas forward. Ethan has a refined eye, big heart, and diamond hands. Born and raised in Brooklyn, from the not so famous and yuppie neighborhoods of Brownsville and currently Flatbush. I noticed this past week in NFT.NYC, that most NYC crypto and NFT influencers are from the smallest populations in NYC. I'm talking about Manhattany people or yuppies from Williamsburg/Park Slope/LIC. I believe I can represent the real New Yorkers who knows what hustle, grit, and diversity really means. BTW I've been in crypto since 2013 and will stay in for as long as I live.

I am a college student that has recently become interested in NFTs. Although I have not always known about this community, I am impressed by GTNYs mission to reward "real" New Yorkers who have worked hard to improve their neighborhoods.

Nominee: Shana B

"Hey, would you mind if I sit with you?" I asked Shana in the seventh grade and she instantly welcomed me into the group. Since then, we have been best friends. From middle school to high school to college now, I have watched her grow into the type of person who consistently puts others above herself. She has been volunteering at a group home for many years, actively supporting and mentoring children. Shana is there for them week after week, month after month. On several occasions, I have visited the group home with her. Upon her entry, the youngsters swarm her and she always gets a hug even from the older, more disgruntled kids. Shana is a true New Yorker because her heart and soul is invested in the wellbeing of each person she meets.

Nominator: Evan K

My name is Evan - most people call me E. I have been involved in the crypto space since 2016. I cannot be more thankful for the crypto community as it has brought me new friendships, memories, and experiences I could have never gotten anywhere else. Last week's NFT.NYC showed me how powerful the community can be when we come together. I connected with countless people at conferences, events, and parties. I want my friends and family to share in these amazing experiences. We can change the world

Nominee: Andrew B

Andrew is the man. An all around phenomenal human who will add humor and lift the spirits of the entire community. I heard he once made a clown laugh. I have not met a single person that doesn't smile when first introduced to Andrew and I am confident we will all feel the same. We call him "The Big Sexy" aka Bartolo Colon. Andrew is an up and coming consultant and has now caught the NFT bug. I told him that there is no better project in the marketplace than CryptoNewYorkers and he is starting to feel the same. I think it's about time our corporate friends add some flavor to their lineup . Once Andrew is involved in a project, he shares the responsibility of its success with his teammates and will work to make everyone better. Andrew is an avid talker both at the gym and the golf course. I think he will be an addition to the community that we will never regret.

Nominator: Zoya Y

I am on a mission to bring mindfulness to as many industries as possible. I believe mindfulness will be the catalyst for the next human evolution and NFTs can help fund the leaders, teachers, and mentors who can empower our future with it. The fact that I currently work for Seva.Love, which is an NFT platform dedicated to doing good in the world through the metaverse is only confirmation that a future like that is possible.

Nominee: Kim B

Kim Blacklock has been helping to empower the youth and underserved communities for most of her 60 years on this earth. This New York native is described by her family as having been ahead of her time for all her years and does not seem to be changing that tone as she learns about the ways in which she can use NFTs to enrich the communities she would like to impact. I believe Kim would be an amazing addition to the community because every community needs teachers who can empower their gifted. Especially ones who can see the light in those we often over look. Also, at 6’7” Kim will not only stand out in any room, she will have them rolling with laughter or thinking deeply about why they were put on this earth and ready to serve.

Nominee: Jeremy C

Jeremy (Jerm) Cohen is a visual storyteller that lives and works in Brooklyn. He got noticed during the shutdown when he started posting photos of his neighbors on their rooftops dancing, reading, flying kites, and even playing the double-bass cello. (That one ended up on the cover of NY Mag.) The quarantine rooftop series was part of his ongoing 2+ year passion project in which he takes a photo of a stranger every single day. Jeremy's positive energy enables him to capture the essense of real New Yorkers, and his portraits of celebrities often reveal a side seldom seen. On his social feeds, you'll see him spreading the love - handing out bananas to marathoners, encouraging people to donate blood, and helping out with a local winter coat drive.

I moved to NYC a few years ago and fell in love with the city. When I'm not working, you can find me stressing over Tampa Bay sports teams, the newest alt coin I'm too far into, or how much money I spent on food this month.

Nominee: Andrea C

When I saw CryptoNewYorker’s nomination guidelines, Andrea was the first person to pop into my head—She is truly incredible. Andrea “Dre” immigrated here as a 7 year old, when her parents sent her away to escape the dangers of her home country El Salvador. Here without her family, she worked 2 jobs as a tutor and behavioral therapist to put herself through college, the first person to do so in her family, and majored in applied mathematics. After graduating, Dre decided to spend a year in Africa teaching children math, English, and health.

When Dre returned to NYC, she began a career in tech consulting, but continues to work with underprivileged youth in the city. A few months ago she mentioned her interest in NFTs to me, so when I heard about Bright Moment’s nomination process, she was the most deserving person I could possibly think of. She is the most compassionate, unique, and fun person I’ve ever met, and would be a great addition to your community.

Nominator: Charles G

I've lived in New York for almost 10 years running a variety of small businesses. From restaurants and bars to an invasive fish import business, I believe the beauty in the city comes from the wide diversity of the people.

Over the past several years, I've become very interested in Crypto and the many different ways it can be integrated into our lives. I'm currently focusing on how NYC small businesses can take advantage and use Crypto to help grow and sustain their businesses.

Nominee: Ryan C

Ryan is a local restaurateur, and like all, was severely impacted from COVID. The shutdown temporarily closed all of his businesses leaving him in a difficult position, with over 80 staff members now out of work - many of which were unable to collect government benefits.

He refused to fail and to let these people suffer. He worked longer and harder than ever before, constantly pivoting his businesses - changing his concepts to fit the current biz landscape and supporting the local arts community with live jazz music outside his restaurant.

All of his businesses are still open today -- but that isn't what matters. He made sure his staff had a place to go and a way to provide of their families.

New York is fueled off of these small business and diverse culture and Ryan actions showed what it means to be a true "New Yorker".

Ryan's vast network would be valuable to the CNY community - especially as he starts integrating Cyrpto into his business models.

I've been getting pulled deeper down the crypto/NFT rabbit hole since 2017 when I was introduced to CryptoKitties. I first learned of Bright Moments when USV invested in the DAO earlier this year, and I've been a huge fan of the community ever since. I was born in NYC, have been living in Brooklyn for the last 5 years, and would love to become a CryptoNewYorker!

Nominee: Charlie G

Charlie is a close friend of mine and someone who I consider a true New Yorker. Charlie moved to NYC in 2014 and has been hustling in the restaurant business ever since — he is one of the hardest working people I know and has become an integral part of the Lower East Side restaurant community. During the pandemic when restaurants were struggling, Charlie didn't leave the city once — going into both restaurants he manages on a daily basis to keep things running and coming up with creative ways to serve local residents (e.g. delivering bottle service to people's doorsteps 🍾). On top of all that, Charlie has taken a deep interest in crypto and NFTs in the last year and is exploring ways to utilize them in his restaurants. I think he will be at the cutting edge of how NFTs intersect with the restaurant industry, and would make an amazing addition to the Bright Moments and CryptoNewYorker community.

It's 7 pm during the darkest days of the pandemic. Cheers greet those walking home from another grueling day at the hospital. Amongst these heroes is my best friend: Gabby. Gabby is a nurse at NYU Langone and has worked through the entire pandemic, she's witnessed first hand the devastating loss that struck the city during those first few months. Despite facing death every day, she always managed to be a patient favorite, with her infectious laugh and her ability to stay positive in any situation. And when laughter and positivity couldn't help anymore, she provided love, comfort and support to those patients who couldn't be with their family during their last days. She helped patients navigate FaceTime to see their loved ones providing a sense of closure for these families. She embodies the resiliency that NYC represents and would be a very deserving CryptoNewYorker.

Nominee: Randy G

Randy is a great representation of what crypto means to New York. Born and bred here, randy grew up in the garden seats and ran around the streets of the city working in restaurants, fashion startups, and now entrepreneurship. He became interested in crypto in 2017 around the time he started writing his book about overcoming adversity and using it to your advantage in the business world. Randy currently runs a newsletter and podcast about e-commerce, NFT's, innovations in crypto and anything else he finds interesting; spreading awareness about these projects around the city. I'm a New Yorker whose most rewarding experiences in the web2 world have been building products to help others, mainly in fintech helping people get on solid financial footing to help them buy a home or pass a credit check to get a new job. Over the past couple years, I've become enamored with the possibilities of web3 and how it's bridging the ideas of community, ownership and self-governance to help put everyone on equal footing.

Nominee: Alex G

Alex is a lifelong New Yorker and Brooklyn resident. He is the founder of Lemontree, whose mission is to help those who need a hand. His nonprofit has helped thousands of low-income families in New York get access to food in a dignified way.

There are more food pantries and soup kitchens in the country than McDonald's but most people won't access them since they're hard to find and tough to navigate. Alex started Lemontree to offer an easy to use app to help people find free food (like Yelp). During COVID, he organized 400 volunteers and formed a coalition across the boroughs to make sure that people didn't go hungry.

Alex reflects what makes New York a special place: a genuine desire to help your neighbor, being resilient when times are tough, and a sense of optimism that the future can be better. He's a hometown hero and would be an incredible addition to the community.

Nominee: Evan K

My friend Evan is the most dedicated and hard-working person I have ever met. I like to call him E or Elvis or Abercrombie because he is a damn good looking. This kid has never walked into a bar and not been immediately been noticed. The thing I like about him the most is that he isn’t that over-confident person who everyone hates. He is humble in everything that he does. Never complains about being over-worked, always has a smile on his face, and has never seen a curveball thrown his way that he can’t hit. He is a piano, guitar, and saxophone player and I guarantee we will all enjoy him serenading the CryptoCitizen community when elected. He works hard because he respects the grind of having to sweat for your money and he doesn’t want to have to rely on others to live the life he loves. Evan has been invested in the Crypto space since 2016 diversifying his portfolio and finally has the itch to get into NFTs and what a better way to start than here.

I started my NFT journey in June 2021. I soon learned about Art Blocks, Squiggles, Crypto Venetians, and the amazing communities surrounding these generative art projects. I hope to keep learning and grow along with these communities.

Outside of NFTs, I am an accountant and I play/coach soccer several nights each week. I was born and raised in North Jersey.

Nominee: Karissa K

Kari works in the NYC music industry in the touring and events area. This was a challenge when the pandemic forced concert venues to close last year, but Kari was up to the challenge. She helped the artists she works with pivot from IRL concerts to live-streamed concerts and events that fans can enjoy from the comfort of their homes. This is no small task considering the significant differences in planning an IRL event vs a virtual one. Kari showed resiliency during this time which is a characteristic of a true New Yorker.

I am nominating Kari because she is the one behind the scenes at events making sure things run smoothly, and often she does not get to relax and enjoy the events she helps plan. A real life CNY mint would be an amazing way for NYers and music fans to pay Kari back for her hard work and give Kari the opportunity to enjoy an event that she can truly be a part of without worrying about making sure the rest of us are enjoying the show.

I am 20 years old, born and raised in Brooklyn NY. I am currently in my junior year of college studying under computer science. As of right now, I am trying to venture into the erratic universe of NFT's and the world of crypto so I can possibly develop something of my own in the future. I love the concept of NFT's as it helps people find their true selves and aspirations, with many people finding their lives forever changing from what they find. This is what I am hoping to achieve.

Nominee: Alexandra L

New York takes pride in the citizens that live in this city. A majority of immigrants arrive to New York for a new life, they come from a place of hardships that their previous country gave them. Alexandra Levitant is one of these people, she is a Jewish Ukranian women who was born on June 22nd, 1948. During her time in Ukraine from 1948-1975 she suffered a hard life because of her religion. Her country did not provide her with the same opportunities as New York would have. She came to New York seeking a new life to overcome her past travesties. She is now a barber in Brooklyn who welcomes people with a smile and open arms, providing the same service that she did not have in Ukraine. She can tell her unique story of what New York has done for her and what she has done for New York. She is truly one of a kind, and embodies what being a CryptoNewYorker is all about!

Nominator: Liam P

@NFTWood on twitter if you want to check out my page! Not much to say, I’m not that extraordinary. ig I’m a recent grad from a four year degree, and I am a delivery driver.

Nominee: Kathleen P

I believe Kathleen is the perfect candidate for a true New Yorker. She is currently a nurse at a senior home in Washington Heights, where she has served the community for over 15 years now. This past pandemic hit her workplace hard, as many residents were deemed high-risk, to the point where the job was on the news for scandals of the city not providing enough PPE to necessary locations, causing mass casualties. Through many threats to her job, as lay offs were plenty, as well as threats to her own health, she was able to work with the community in the heights that she has grown to know over the years and continues to serve them to this day. A little extra background about her is that she moved here to the US from the Philippines as a nursing aide, and was able to work her way up to a Registered Nurse through her career here in NY. As NY is a melting pot of cultures, this only seems right!

I'm a new dad! We had twins six months ago. I work in media and live in Los Angeles, love the outdoors, adventures and art of all kinds!

Nominee: Christopher S

My brother Christopher has lived and worked in New York for 12 years. He's an avid art collector and has a particular passion for local street art. He's often exploring - literally running around the city to see what this real world canvas has to offer and capturing it on his phone. He recently discovered NFTs this year and sees the potential they have for bringing local art to a broader audience. I can't think of a better person to spread their message to the world.

Nominator: Allen G

I am a college student at SUNY New Paltz, born in raised in Brooklyn. I’ve loved my whole life near Coney Island and consider myself as New York as it gets.

Nominee: Jeffrey R

It doesn’t get more “savvy New Yorker” than Jeffrey. He is an incredible person, fearless enough to chase his dreams no matter the potential cost. Jeffrey is a real estate agent in Manhattan, and became one after coming to the realization that college wasn’t for him; not because it was too difficult, but because the risk of staying and coming out the other side into mediocrity was more of a risk than testing the waters of real life and failing. Failure, however, was not in the cards for Jeff. He is too driven, too dedicated to improving and helping others along their journeys for that to be a possibility. Every time Jeffrey speaks, people quiet down knowing a captivating story will surely follow. He works his ass off constantly and I believe the Bright Moments community would be lucky to have him as a member. It doesn’t get more street smart, more savvy, or more interested in experiencing the outer limits of what life has to offer than my friend, my brother, Jeffrey.

Nominator: John L

I am a builder/creator who has spent decades working in digital agencies/consultancies, big tech, startups, and am currently working in the FinTech/Crypto space. Over the past few years - I have found myself focussed on Investing, Cryptos, Art/Media collectibles, and NFTs (Crypto New Yorker, Crypto Venetians, and Rituals in Venice). I'm also a former New Yorker who misses all it has to offer!

Nominee: Kriston R

Kriston is, in fact, a New Yorker. And he's fairly deep into matters crypto, at work on a web3 project focused on film. In his fiat life, he founded and runs the US Air Guitar Championships among other less significant things. Look up the cult-hit doc Air Guitar Nation if you want to learn about that mayhem. Some (few?) of you may be pleased to learn that, during his tenure as Commissioner, Team USA has been the winningest nation on earth—boasting a staggering 41% win rate at the Air Guitar World Championships. Lastly he helped me get my CryptoNewYorker and super-loved the whole crazy thing.

Nominator: Justin S

My name is Justin and I am new to the city of New York. I have have been intrigued by the concept of crypto since summer of 2016, and have recently become fascinated by the world of NFTs. I know what being a part of this community could do for me and hope I could bring value to the community as well.

Nominee: Daniel N

Daniel has long lived on the east coast, but only recently become a New Yorker. I met Daniel my first week of university, and it was quickly made clear that we would get along very well. Daniel’s love for computer science has given him a different angle on his interests of photography, skateboarding, fashion, and art than others in those fields would possess. Daniel has been interested in the many uses of crypto technology long before it was mainstream to do so. Once he heard about NFTs, he was extremely eager to learn as much as he could about the concept.

I know from personal experience that Daniel is always willing to use his skills and expertise to help those around him with any given task. He will put in the effort for others as if the project is one of his own. This is the primary reason that I know the Bright Moments Community would highly benefit from the presence of Daniel.

A devoted cryptocitizen who happens to be legendary

Nominee: Adam P

My friend Adam should be nominated for a CryptoNewYorker because a very disappointing series of events that took place in his quest for a cryptovenetian…He drove from the Bay to LA and reserved a airplane to fly over Venice beach with a sign saying “HODL Cryptovenetian’s” the day of the heist. After arriving in LA with hopes of securing a cryptovenetian the news of the heist broke and he was forced to cancel the plane with the banner. He doesn’t know I’m doing this but I feel it will bring great joy and he will surely bring great value to the Cryptocitizen community.

I have lived in NYC since 2015 and visited/worked in the city since 2011. I grew up down the shore in NJ and visited NYC often as a kid. My day job is venture investing for Major League Baseball and hobbies include snow sports, collecting wine, running and travel (45+ countries and counting). CNY #509

Regularly organize dinners, happy hours and events in the city for the SportsTech and VC community and excited to bring the same organization and enthusiasm to the CNY community.

Nominee: Neil P

I've known Neil since 2015 when we met in grad school. He is one of the most innately curious people I know and was one of, if not, the earliest friend of mine to introduce me to crypto. He is active in the space holding BAYC, Cool Cats, Meebits, VeeFriends and other NFTs.

Neil has ecommerce, social media and analytics experience and would be a huge asset to the CNY community.

Nominator: Kalen H

Hey, my name is Kalen and I haven't been in the NFT space for long but everything I know about this space is because of my friend. Big fan of the work at Bright Moments.

Nominee: Malik P

Malik is a college student who’s been in the NFT space for about 6 months. As a born and raised New Yorker this project hits close to home. That was why I couldn't think of a better person than Malik for the nomination. We've been friends since Pre-K and he's always been really into tech and letting me know about the next big thing. With the growth of the NFT space and the hopefully soon establishment of the Metaverse, I think a real NYV NFT would be the perfect icon for him. I’ve seen or heard of many of the projects that he missed out on and I hope this isn’t one of them. Thanks for reading.

Nominator: Mike J

I'm the guy who killed the TV while minting CNY #565. Flew 14hrs to be a CryptoCitizen, and now back home planning the first-ever NFT meetups in Seoul.

If we win, I'll be giving the nominee's GTNY to my friend Jay - an NYU law school student. Studying as a foreigner in NYC can be challenging and lonely - and I want him to experience the awesomeness of being a CryptoCitizen for a release!

He's a smart and kind person who'd be grateful to receive a GTNY and be a valuable asset to the community.

Nominee: HC S

HC is a good friend of mine, a great attorney and an artist! He’s been in NYC since 2014 and has been hustling as a lawyer by day, filmmaker by nights and weekends. He has managed to make short films and shoot music videos while participating in the daily grind as a corporate attorney. He is actually interested in transitioning to a media/entertainment lawyer so that his interests align better with his career, and introducing him to the NFT community at this time would be perfect in my opinion. I’ve known him for 20 years now and as a genuine, kind person, I don’t know who else would deserve this better - who knows - he might become an NFT lawyer :)

I'm 100% confident that HC & Jay can be great additions to the CryptoCitizen Community!

Nominator: Molly K

I am a writer and designer, living in NYC since 2007. I'm here because of all the people also here, the sound of the city waking up in the morning, the restaurant under my apartment, eavesdropping on the next table over, the fire escapes, the parks, the walkability, the coffee, express trains to Brooklyn, and that view coming back over the bridge, especially at night. The idea of New York is the possibility of everything, and I love that idea as much as I do the city itself.

Nominee: Esther Y

Esther is a photographer, graphic designer, and New Yorker with a heart of gold. Born and raised on Long Island, she epitomizes creativity. Esther is one of those people that sees art everywhere and is able to capture it in a way that is totally original and sincere. She is curious, imaginative, generous, and brilliant. I'd want her in any community I was trying to build.

He's currently getting his MS in Applied Stats & Mathematics at Baruch College and has recently transferred his passion for finance into the crypto / defi space. Brings a lot of knowledge to the table and is actively looking to learn and collaborate on new projects.

Jennifer is my wife and the most caring, thoughtful person I know. She supported me and put our family on her back while I was going through my tough time. I’m 18 years old and been following the crypto space for over 2 years now. Recently got into NFTs around March and have been obsessed with them ever since. I don’t have a lot of money right now to really be active in this space but my time is still devoted 100% right now. I’m all across social media all day following the space and be as active as possible. I also would’ve loved to go to NFT.NYC to be apart of the irl mint but did not have the funds to.

Nominee: John T

I am an artist working in the NYC metro area, who has recently discovered crypto through a family member. I've been finding my self falling into this new Alice in wonderland world of NFTs and it is large, trippy, beautiful, and fasinating. The avenues of expression are endless and I would love to be part of this world. Additionally, getting a Cryptro NYC would hold a special place in my heart, being that I was born in Brooklyn, NYC.

Nominee: Giovanni Z

I would like to nominate Giovanni, a fellow artist, collaborator, and close friend. Hailing from a long line of construction workers from Long Island Giovanni is the funniest Italian American I know. He has a laugh that mesmerizes the masses for ages. As an animation & Design professional based in New York, he is passionate about visual storytelling, innovative art, and good stonks, and maybe a crude Disney style reimaging once in a while(Imagine Pepe le pew getting served). He loves pop culture and delicious desserts. I hope that we can continue our NFT journey together. Hoping to join you guys soon!!!
