Lucinda is an incredibly talented and passionate artist Lucinda is an award-winning director, animator & artist in New York. I have know her for years and she has taught me so much. She is influential and inspiring to many female filmmakers and artists. During COVID, she worked super hard to bring awareness of the domestic violence crisis with Amy Schumer for the domestic violence national hotline. Lucinda has also worked with MoMA, Yoko Ono, Bono, Saks 5th Avenue, BBC, TEDx, NPR, Gotye & Vox. She is a leader in digital art. I wholeheartedly feel Lucinda would be a perfect asset to the Bright Moments community and a friend to all.

I have been buying crypto since 2017 and only recently fell in love with NFTs. When I am not at my sales job or playing hockey, I am constantly looking at new projects to invest in.

Zach has been a lifelong friend and the one I can credit with getting me into NFTs. I got him into crypto years ago so it balanced out nicely. He lives and breathes New York, having grown up on the Island and has been living in New York nearly his entire life. I have never seen someone work harder for their goals. After starting out at big finance firms, he completely pivoted his career by teaching himself programming and now has a data science job at a big ad agency. He is a huge collector in the space owning big blue-chip projects like Cool Cats, Gutter Cats and Art Blocks. Unfortunately, he hasn’t made much money in NFTs because he basically refuses to ever sell anything lol. When he first learned of the CNY, his eyes lit up and was dying to be part of it all. He would be a huge asset to the CNY community bringing enthusiasm, passion and the most diamond hands I have ever seen. Not to mention a big and growing social media presence.

Nic recently discovered our community through a @goodworkhouse Twitter space and has already taken over the Good Work House AIR program working this season with 12 Haitian artists.

Prior to Covid, Nic and Elif were living in Manhattan while Nic was working on his MFA at Hunter College. (Kind of fun that their journey is the reciprocal of Bright Moments!)

As fate would have it, Nic and Elif will conveniently be in NYC during December as Nic presents his thesis.

Tobrizzle has been an active supporter of the CryptoNewYorker movement from attending the IRL events and bringing his newborn son by to visit the Soho location. He has lived in Brooklyn for over a decade and works in public education. He believes in the importance of community. He's eager to bring new folks into the NFT space, especially through real-life experiences. Recently, his nominee for a CryptoNewYorker tied for 15th place and rather than push for himself to get one he supported the nominees who tied to get their tokens and therefore he did not get one. He's eager to support the CryptoCitizen movement IRL and online! Some of you may already know how active he is in the discord. From what I have seen from the CryptoCitizen community he would not only fit in but would continue to add magic that this community exudes. He’s visited the gallery multiple times just to be a part of the energy. He’s a coder, so anything in the technology world he’s passionate about (and good at!) He’s the grandson of an artist so bringing art into the digital world is essentially his DNA. He sends me a curated playlist every week to introduce me to his favorite music, because for him it’s about introducing others to the things he loves that makes it enjoyable. The best thing about my brother though, is that he’s truly a kind & loyal person. Anything he is a part of he dedicates his heart and soul to & he will never give up. Ed grew up with his brother in, “A small ass apartment in Bedstuy, NY”. NYC was the city meant for him, saying its arguably the only place with the best bodegas, and even through gentrification, it's still the most diverse city he knows. Ed just learned about BM and sees how it can change the lives of many POC. He is highly involved in NFT communities and a community builder at heart. He is someone we all would benefit from having in the family. Ed is an artist in the NFT space. He found the space is more than making money, it's about making community. He noticed that the space was lacking diversity. Few spaces had POC or people from marginalized communities speak. After experiencing racism in the space, he realized marginalized people will have difficulty receiving the information necessary to navigate safely and effectively, thus Ed help start a BIPOC LGBTQIA space held on Twitter to help. Ed acts as a bridge with other spaces in the NFT ecosystem, while still pursuing his NFT art.

Hello, I am relatively new to the NFT space and since joining I have worked to curate a collection of art on my NFT journey. Most of my burgeoning collection has come from Art Blocks pieces that really spoke to me. I never fancied myself as a collector of fine art, but the NFT space has allowed me to experience the world of art in a way I never thought possible, and for that I am grateful. For the first time I have found art that resonated with me, and a community that shares these passions.

Aaron is a perfect fit for the Bright Moments community. He is someone who dedicates his time to fostering and developing our community. He prioritizes education and seeks to onboard as many people as possible in the amazing world of NFTs and art. Aaron was the first person to introduce me, and countless others, to the wonderful world of Art Blocks. His work goes beyond introductions though. To this day he seeks to educate newcomers, and veterans alike, and spreads his passion for this emerging world of generative art. In true New Yorker fashion, Aaron entered this space hoping to provide a better life for his family and two young children. In doing so, he developed a deep love for the art and has become an avid collector. Aaron dedicates so much of his time, energy and expertise to people like me, never asking for anything in return. An art enthusiast who’s too busy researching new projects to remember to sleep. A transplant from meatspace-art-collecting to NFT-obsessed. He chases quality projects and is never in it for the quick buck. He’s deeply rooted in several NFT communities and never worries about the floor. Once he’s in a project, he’s a steward of its success giving 100% participation. Growing up with 5 siblings in a 2 bedroom home with very little, she has always found a way to persevere. She worked her way to pay for college as a first generation student and now dedicates her time to helping children with autism. Recently, she has also been taking care of my dad and grandmother, so she hasn’t had much free time to herself.

As I’ve shared with her my journey into the NFT and crypto space, I’ve noticed how she lights up and engages when we talk about the community and its potential. It has given us something to bond over, and I love seeing how animated she gets when I tell her about everything new I’m learning. I had told Max about cryptovenetians literally 2 days prior to "the heist" when appointments and waitlist was CRAZY. He filmed a video (to this day i don't know what he said lol) begging to get off the waitlist just a few hours before all the remaining CV's were stolen. Max is the owner and creator of "Heavy Handed", an instagram-famous burger truck that has lines around all of LA. She is my girlfriend’s grandmother and opened her home to me while I stayed in NY working and exploring the city during the Bright Moments minting process and NFT.NYC. Lillian was born in Brooklyn in 1942 (she wouldn’t let me list her age but you do the math lol) to Polish immigrants. She went to Erasmus Hall High School in Flatbush and Syracuse University in Upstate NY. She earned her MBA at Columbia and later became the Associate Dean of the Business School. She then served as the Director of Development for the Metropolitan Opera followed by EVP for External Affairs at the Park Avenue Armory. Retiring in 2009, she now lives in the Upper West Side

I am honored to nominate a true New Yorker, my uncle Craig Saavedra. He is an independent film director and a Tony Award-winning producer. He has lived in Manhattan for the past 15 years. Craig has played a big role in Broadways on going success. He co-founded Starry Night Entertainment based out of New York. Craig was part of the production group for the play The Cripple of Inishmaan, starring Daniel Radcliffe . The play was a popular and critical success, earning six Tony Award nominations for cast and crew, including a nomination for the producers for Tony Award for Best Revival of a Play. This nomination is the perfect marriage of NY Theatre and NFTs. There couldn’t be a better project and team to introduce them. A CryptoNewYorker NFT would be the perfect introduction for Craig to enter the fascinating world of NFTs, while also sharing his IRL mint experience to a wide circle of New York theatre, actors, directors and creatives alike.

Russel was born completely blind. He had to undergo multiple surgeries in the first few years of his life. The issues with his eyes persist to this day. We went to high school together, and he was often picked on for the way his eyes looked. However, he always had a cheerful demeanor and a bigger “vision” ;) for himself. Holt was born and raised in New York City and is a well known actor. He most recently starred in the NetFlix series Mindhunters. He's also been featured in classics such as Fight Club, Men of Honor, Three Kings, Alien III, Criminal Minds and Law and Order, just to name a few. Holt comes from a theatrical family. His father was a Tony award winning Broadway producer and his mother and legendary cabaret singer. Needless to say, Holt has very deep roots in New York, particularly related to arts and culture. He is also very interested in Crypto and NFT's and has begun investing in the space.

Robin Andre is an authentic NY Music Legend. He came up in the 90's performing with classic artists like The Fugees - perfected his style of vocals, rapping, and guitar play - and he's now performing multiple times a week around New York, from weekly nights at clubs in SOHO to special events for thousands of people across the city. While investing in crypto here and there on Coinbase, he's interested in learning more about NFTs and how he can create and assimilate as an artist into the community. Anton was born and raised in Bensonhurst, Brooklyn. His grandma, who he says was astounded by nyc, made sure to take him to every landmark, museum, and park she could. His family never owned a car (and I’m pretty sure they still don’t) so he could only get around by bike, bus, or train. And when the trains and busses weren’t running (aka most of the time), he would walk for miles through Brooklyn to get home. He was known in our friend group as Map God because he was just a natural at navigating New York. We went to hs in Manhattan, an hour and a half train ride each way from his house. We both became well accustomed to train delays and other MTA bs. In fact, Anton missed one of his AP exams because the D train was delayed for 30 minutes. By senior year, he would sleep on every train ride yet somehow always wake up right at his stop. Overall, I think Anton is as New Yorker as it gets. He loves the city and the culture and will forever identify with it.

Needless to say, Charles has made the most of that opportunity. He's a careered dentist, who is highly involved in the community. He is a mentor for "Collective Source Inc." and "Teens That Mean Business;" two programs that provide equitable chances for POC trying to get into business.

He's also a leader in "Citizens Against Recidivism" a program that assists the needs of family of the incarcerated, and "Ifetayo Cultural Arts Academy" an African-centered multidisciplinary program.

On the weekends, you might catch him dining out at Buddakan or riding his bike through prospect park. He is a kind-hearted man, who's jovial, open-minded and cares deeply for others. There's not a better person for me to introduce this space to.

She started as an actress and is now also a director and writer. Her first short film Murika (@murikashortfilm) premiered at the Brooklyn Film Festival this year and has screened at over seven festivals so far. She lives in Harlem and is a playwriting fellow at the National Black Theater there. In the coming months, her plays are expected to premiere at The Fire This Time Festival and the National Black Theater, both prestigious venues that strive to foster and bring art to communities of color. -Mark worked at the World Trade Center - 40th floor - 2nd tower. When the first plane hit, everyone thought it was an accident, but his gut told him differently and he ran for the stairs. Around the 26th floor he felt the building shake. It was the 2nd plane hitting his tower. He was able to make it out with his life before the building collapsed. We began working together in 2019. He confessed it was his first time working in the financial district since the attack

-He saved 11 women from human trafficking while investigating a suspicious trail of money that led to a shipping container in LA. The weight on the bill of landing didn't match the original weight, so he sent the info to the police and 11 woman were found inside

Alex started Lemontree to offer an easy to use app to help people find free food (like Yelp). Delaney is curious about NFTs specifically because of my experience at the CryptoNewYorker mint. The idea of an in-person mint has her very interested as she enjoys attending gallery viewings IRL. I think it would be an awesome experience for anyone, but I believe she would enjoy it particularly. Delaney is also a nurse who lives in NYC and worked throughout the pandemic on the front lines, so I know she would be a great addition to the community starting on a personal level.

I believe Kathleen is the perfect candidate for a true New Yorker. She is currently a nurse at a senior home in Washington Heights, where she has served the community for over 15 years now. This past pandemic hit her workplace hard, as many residents were deemed high-risk, to the point where the job was on the news for scandals of the city not providing enough PPE to necessary locations, causing mass casualties. Through many threats to her job, as lay offs were plenty, as well as threats to her own health, she was able to work with the community in the heights that she has grown to know over the years and continues to serve them to this day. A little extra background about her is that she moved here to the US from the Philippines as a nursing aide, and was able to work her way up to a Registered Nurse through her career here in NY. As NY is a melting pot of cultures, this only seems right!

After arriving in LA with hopes of securing a cryptovenetian the news of the heist broke and he was forced to cancel the plane with the banner.
